In 2023, Flying Scooter Productions launched our 501c3 THE AMELIA PROJECT™ – A film + production non-profit that goes beyond creating, we seek out opportunities to teach and be taught. We offer a place to bridge silence and ignite meaningful conversation and reflection through storytelling while helping the next generation of storytellers find their footing. We are expanding our portfolio to include a Grant and Proposal Writing Intern to help research and write grants.

Job Overview

The grant and proposal writing intern researches new grant opportunities, writes proposals to secure funding, keeps a calendar of upcoming opportunities, and helps submit grant applications. The internship is available beginning May 1, 2023 and runs through the summer. Successful candidates should be available a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in drafting and writing research papers
• Experience with Google Suite, especially Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Slides and Google Sheets
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, history, political science, English, or other writing/research-intensive liberal arts degree
• Current college juniors and seniors with strong writing and research skills will also be considered
• Ability to work with a team and independently

Responsibilities

• The Grant Writing Intern will help build the capacity of our grant writing and fundraising initiatives
• Help lead with grant writing research, writing, and reporting
• Identify specific grant opportunities and manage the grant application process
• Work with team to create specific grant funding plans
• Research current issues related to The Amelia Project initiatives
• Identify and support grant reporting requirements
• Uphold FSP cultural values of integrity, truth, and compassion. Supporting an atmosphere of servant leadership and team-centric focus
